    Building the characteristic activity of “Following the Laws and the Party”

    At 1:30pm, all the Party member lawyers, wearing the party emblem, gathered in the central square of Chaoyang Park. With the warm spring breeze and beautiful scenes, bathing in the sun of spring, Lawyer Shi Guanghu, the secretary of the DOCVIT’s Party branch, announced that the activity of "Following the Laws and the Party" was officially launched.

    The Secretary Shi Guanghu pointed out that it is the natural mission for Party member lawyers to comply with the “Following the Laws and the Party”. 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement, and the key year for building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. As members of the Party and the important members of the legal professional community, Party member lawyers play an important role in giving full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members and serving the economic and social development and promoting the rule of law.

    The Secretary Shi said that after the research and discussion by the DOCVIT Party Branch, based on the relevant guidance of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee on the construction of Party branches of the non-public enterprises and social organizations, and according to the propaganda and ideology of the Party group construction work of the Beijing Lawyers Association and the Chaoyang District Lawyers Association, combined with the essence and characteristics of the law firm's business work, the DOCVIT Party Branch decided to launch the "Following the Laws and the Party" series activities in 2019, giving full play to the role of fighting bastion of the party branch and the vanguard and exemplary role of Party member lawyers, and comprehensively improving the level of party branch team building works.

    Secretary Shi stated that “In 2019, the DOCVIT Party Branch will focus on the implementation of the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the professional mission of lawyers, using the '1234' working method, which is 'one core' - 'adhere to the leadership of the Party'; 'two-way training' - 'cultivating outstanding lawyers to join the Party, training Party members to become excellent lawyers'; 'three purposes' –'carrying forward the Party's advanced nature, promoting the rule of law spirit, practicing social responsibility'; 'four major activities' - — 'The new era, China's two sessions, we are together ', 'Re-take the Long March, go forward bravely', 'I am a lawyer, but also a Party member', ' practicing the lawyer's mission, building a dream of the rule of law in China', practicing 'Following the Laws and the Party ' in reality.”

    Then, all the Party member lawyers took a picture in the central square.

    After the launching ceremony, the Branch organized all Party member lawyers to take a boat trip to the lake in Chaoyang Park. The spring river was plumbing and the flowers were blooming. Everyone spoke freely in the vibrant scene of the lake and spring, and exchanged their experiences as a Party member lawyer during work and life time, discussed how to play the vanguard and exemplary role of Party member lawyers in future works, how to better combine the status of lawyers and party members, how to innovate the form of branch activities, and how to contribute to the process of promoting socialist rule of law. In the heated discussion, the Party group building activity was successfully completed.
