Miss ZHANG Ting, the director of the International Business Department and senior partner of Beijing Docvit Law Firm, and the visiting scholar at University of Cambridge, delivered a keynote speech titled The Internationalization Road of Chinese Enterprises in Cambridge CFT Chinese School on March 23, 2019. This event is the 31st lecture in the lecture series of the "Cambridge China Scholars' Forum"and is also a farewell speech of ZHANG Ting at University of Cambridge.

Miss ZHANG Ting is the rare scholar who was invited to pay an academic visit as a lawyer. She first talked about her academic direction and achievements during her visit in University of Cambridge. She did two academic studies in University of Cambridge: the one is related to overseas investment by Chinese enterprises and related legal issues of the "Belt and Road"; the other is the comparative study between the Chinese Trust Law and UK Trust Law and its impact on the development of family offices. She believes that the international community should break the series of misunderstandings of Chinese enterprises going global, and hopes to contribute to the development of domestic trust institutions and charitable trusts through the study of mature trust systems in UK.

The lecture given by Miss ZHANG Ting is divided into four parts, including the main structure of the internationalization of Chinese enterprises, regulation and analysis, legal risks and dispute resolution. She analyzed the main directions of Chinese enterprises' overseas investment, overseas listing, international engineering and foreign trade, and shared many previous classic cases. At the same time, she analyzed the hot issues at present, such as: Brexit's influences on the trade and investment of Chinese enterprises in Europe and the UK, and the analysis of the potential consequences of Chinese enterprises' product liability, contract performance, applicable laws and dispute resolution; The Foreign Investment Law, which was just introduced on March 15, 2019, interprets the intellectual property protection and the levy provisions of foreign investors' investment in China.

Subsequently, ZHANG Ting set up discussions on various issues with the participating scholars. This lecture is also a farewell speech of ZHANG Ting at University of Cambridge. Finally, Miss Zhang expressed her nostalgia for the good times in University of Cambridge and gratitude to the scholars, teachers and friends from all walks of life during the academic visiting.
